I tried the same process above but instead of rebooting and letting it install the Microsoft default drivers I first installed the latest drivers from Intel Rebooted and it auto installs the default Microsoft Windows 8.1 drivers for the device. Removed the drivers from Windows\System32\Drivers I've uninstalled the network adapter from device manager. It won't remember the network upon reboot and the connected icon no longer looks like a WIFI icon, its an ENET icon (no enet cable connected). ![]() Then I close the WIFI menu and it shows "Connected" Connecting to the network is taking longer than usual When I try to connect to any Wireless network it goes through the following steps.
